The HQ stated (2nd) that one of its members in Air Rescue Group, Sergeant Ding, went hiking on his day-offs in Pingfeng Mountain in Hualian but accidentally fell into the valley. He was found dead by rescue team and the body was air-borne transported to Veteran Hospital in Chiayi for autopsy.

The HQ gave its condolences to the families and relatives for this tragedy of Sergeant Ding and will fully support the afterward. Also it is grateful for the assistance of Hualian Fire Department and SF divisions of Army. The Air Force will continue the education over the personal safety of its members.
